The World Petroleum Council has announced that 2,000 abstracts were received for the 23rd World Petroleum Congress (WPC) Call for Papers – the highest number of submissions ever achieved in the history of the Congress.
Leadership from each of the companies will serve on the WPC Organizing Committee Board of Directors to support programming and help set the strategic direction for the event, which is returning to the city of Houston and the United States for the first time in more than three decades.
Topics include innovations in upstream, downstream and petrochemicals and natural gas. Other technical sessions will address the future energy landscape and the way forward in managing energy solutions.
The 23rd World Petroleum Congress (WPC) Organizing Committee announced the launch of the Call for Papers during the 50th Anniversary of the Offshore Technology Conference. Under the theme “Innovative Energy Solutions,” the 23rd WPC will feature innovations across the energy sector, from disruptive technologies to cleaner energy solutions.
Jeff Shellebarger, President of Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company, will serve as Chairman of the Board of the Organizing Committee for the 23rd World Petroleum Congress (WPC).
