General Information
The 23rd World Petroleum Congress is being held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida de las Americas, Houston, TX 77010 on December 5-9, 2021.
If you work or are interested in the oil and gas industry there will be something for you. All aspects of the industry will be covered from upstream, midstream, and downstream along with the latest in technology. Explore daily technical and strategic sessions, with special events to exhibit hall packed with interactive booths and special exhibits.

As a delegate, you have the opportunity to attend plenary sessions, technical forums, round tables, strategic sessions, U.S. sessions, ministerial sessions, ministerial round tables, and expert workshops. As well as the Opening Reception, Excellence Awards, USA Night, Dewhurst Lecture and Closing Ceremony. Complimentary shuttle service will also be available from the Congress hotels to the George R. Brown Convention Center.

The World Petroleum Council (WPC) is a non-advocacy, non-political organization with charitable status in the U.K. and has accreditation as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) from the United Nations (UN). The WPC is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable management and use of the world’s petroleum resources, for the benefit of all.
The WPC Organizing Committee (WPC OC) is a local planning entity, formed by the host country to plan and execute a world class event.
The United States National Committee is one of 64 member countries representing the World Petroleum Council. The U.S. is the host of the 23rd World Petroleum Congress.
Registration
Yes, registering in advance for the Congress is recommended. This will help you prepare for an extraordinary week in Houston. Check back for registration updates.

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club International, and China UnionPay.
If you’d like to pay by invoice (Wire or ACH/EFT), please contact finance@23wpchouston.com or choose the option during the registration process. Please note that payment on bank transfers are due 30 days from invoicing and your registration status will remain as pending until payment is received.
Once you have registered for the Congress, you will receive a confirmation email with important event information and a receipt.
Our registration system will send a confirmation email to the email address provided when you registered. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive this confirmation. If you have not received confirmation within two business days, please contact us by email registration@23wpchouston.com.
For security reasons, all delegates are required to upload a photo that will be used for identification. You will have the opportunity to upload your photo when registering. All delegate badges provided on-site include a delegate photo for security purposes.
The best profile pictures are around 200×200 pixels such as passport style headshot and in a .jpg format.
The 23rd World Petroleum Congress does not provide refunds for cancellations. You may provide a substitution for your registration limited to another colleague from your organization, subject to approval. Substitutions: If any delegate is unable to attend, we will accept a substitute delegate at no extra cost within 48 hours of the start of the conference. Yes. After completing your registration, you will be sent to the official hotel partner’s website where you can choose from a variety of hotel brands and price ranges.
At the Event
Shortly before the event we will send an email with the links to download the official 23rd WPC app.
You can pick up your badge at the registration desk at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Yes, you will need a government issued photo ID to pick up your badge and check in.
